STUNNING OUTDOOR SPACES THAT CONNECT WITH NATURE

Your outdoor space is an important part of your home and living environment - often the venue for celebrations, family gatherings and social occasions; a space where children play and create memories, and a space where we relax and unwind.
It's a space that both consciously and subconsciously interacts with our emotions. And it interacts with our guests and passers-by in the same way.
Our outdoor space is also shared with nature, and forms a vital part of our collective green space and ecosystem here in Aotearoa. It is a potential home or landing pad for our native flora and fauna. Native Gardener's philosophy is to develop beautiful outdoor spaces that enhance our environment and wellbeing, both individually and collectively. Whether you're looking to develop a fully native garden or to introduce more natives to your garden, Native Gardener will support you to choose beautiful plants that enhance your setting.
Anwen Robinson
Native Gardener
Many of our native plants are endemic (unique to New Zealand), and envied globally - often featuring in architectural landscapes overseas. Yet we have so much potential to better utilise and celebrate our natives in our own backyard. Anwen uses her knowledge and passion for native plants to curate stunning backyard settings that stay true to your needs and preferences - whether you're after design ideas, someone to pick up a spade, or both. Your garden should be a space you can enjoy. Anwen also runs a small fundraising initiative on the Hibiscus Coast, selling native plants for a small donation to Shakespear Open Sanctuary Society Incorporated (SOSSI). Find out more here.

    • The transformation of your backyard has the potential to enhance your personal wellbeing, add value to your home, and add value to our environment.

    • As our population expands our native flora and fauna increasingly relies on the personal choices we make for our own backyard.

    • Every tree we plant has the potential to spread hundreds if not thousands of seeds within its lifetime. These can either be gifts or a poor choice of legacy.
